Rating, Tagging and Collecting Posts
Blackboard's Discussion Board now provides options that allow users to rate and tag posts. Both of these methods provide new possibilities for sorting and searching through large, active discussions.Rating posts
Faculty can allow students to rate posts when setting up a forum, or afterwards by clicking Manage to adjust settings.

Individual posts can now be rated.

After a post is rated, the stars next to Overall rating will be highlighted to reflect the cumulative, average rating.

Tagging posts
Posts can also be associated with keywords called "tags". Unlike ratings, only faculty and instructors can create tags.
To tag posts, they first have to be collected. Select the threads containing the posts you wish to tag and click Collect.

Once posts have been collected, you can click Add next to individual posts and add tags.

If there are several posts to which you'd like to add the same tag, you can select each post, enter a tag in the Tag box, and click Go.

Collecting posts (and printing collections)
In addition to searching for posts and printing them, Collections of posts can be printed. Users can print an entire forum, a single thread or a collection of threads. Furthermore, a collection of threads can be narrowed down to a set of tagged posts and printed.
