Overview
Blackboard course sites are used in more than 1,000 Duke courses each semester to enhance class communication and organization. Students use Blackboard to:
- Find important class documents, such as the syllabus, handouts and lecture notes
- Easily access e-reserves
- Look up assignment due dates and exam schedules
- Post class announcements
- Participate in online discussions
- Take quizzes and tests
- Turn in assignments
- Check on grades
Consult your professors to find out how or if you are expected to use Blackboard in each of your courses, as methods for using Blackboard vary by professor.
