Moving Content
The following instructions will take you through step by step on how to copy a selected single file (item) or a folder from one course to another. If you would like to copy areas (i.e. Course Information or Course Documents) of one course site into another, please visit the instructions here.
1. Go to the Control Panel or via Edit View, and locate the Content Area where the item(s) you wish to move are located.
2. Click on the "Copy" button next to the item.
3. If you want to move the content (an item or a folder) to another course, click on the "Destination Course" drop-down box and select the course you wish to move the content to (you may only move materials to courses where you are listed as an instructor).
4. Click on the "Browse" button next to the "Destination folder" text box.

5. A new window will appear. Navigate to the content location you will move the content to, and click on the bubble next to that location. Click on the submit button in this window. The location will appear in the text box.

6. If you want to delete the item from its original location (i.e., move it), click the "Yes" bubble next to "Delete item after copy?" We recommend that when moving items that would require significant time to reconstruct if lost, you leave this set to "No" and then return to the original item and delete it once the copy is complete and verified.
7. Click on the submit button. In the next window, click on the "OK" button.
You have now successfully copied an item.
