If you need help with a particular Blackboard feature or function, you may find useful tutorial information in the Faculty or Student Help sections of this website, or in the Blackboard Instructor or Student Manual.
Training for individual faculty or staff
The Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) offers workshops on a variety of Blackboard-related topics, including an overview for new or returning users, and detailed sessions on Blackboard's communication and assessment tools.
If the workshop schedule doesn't fit your schedule, or if you need information about a topic not covered in our workshops, a CIT staff person or trained student assistant will come to your office to demonstrate Blackboard and answer your questions. To schedule such an office visit, submit a request form or call 660-5806.
Training for a department
Blackboard group training sessions can be arranged for your department. To schedule a departmental training session, contact CIT.
Training for a class
In-class Blackboard training sessions may be scheduled by faculty for their students by contacting OIT's Student Technology Services.
Faculty Training
Pedagogical consultation
A Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) consultant can meet with you one-on-one to discuss how Blackboard can support your teaching efforts. To request a consultation, contact CIT.
Office visit
