Faculty Overview
The Blackboard online course management system enhances class communication, organization and presentation by providing customizable, pre-made Web sites for most Duke courses.
Blackboard course sites enable faculty to:
- Share important class documents, such as a syllabus, handouts and lecture notes
- Host online discussions
- Post a calendar with assignment due dates and exam schedules
- Broadcast class announcements
- Enhance lessons with online videos, PowerPoint slides and more
- Collect and return assignments online
- Give tests that are (mostly) automatically graded
- Allow students to check their grades online
