Making the Course Available

When Blackboard course sites are created, they are only visible to the instructor of the course (or to an organization leader in the case of an organization site). While students are automatically enrolled in course sites and users may be enrolled in a course manually, they are unable to access the site until the course is made visible by the instructor.

To make the Blackboard course or organization site visible to students and others enrolled in the site, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Blackboard and enter the course you wish to make visible.
2. Open the Control Panel.
3. On the left side of the Control Panel menu, select Settings under Course Options.
4. On the next screen, select Course Availability.
5. Click Yes to set the course to "available" and click Submit.
