Creating a Test or Survey
Creating a test
- Click Test Manager in the Assessments area of the Control Panel.
- Click Add Test.
- Enter a name, description and instructions and click Submit.
- Select a question type on the Test Canvas and click Go.
- Create a question.
- Enter the point value for the question.
- Attach a file or URL.
- Enter answer choices and select the correct answer.
- Enter feedback that students will see based on their answer.
- Repeat steps 4 through 9 until all questions have been added.
To make a test available to students
- Open a course content area and click Add Test.
- Select the test to add and click Submit.
- Modify test options to select the properties, availability, feedback and presentation options for the test. Note that you MUST make the test “Available” before closing this panel, or students won’t be able to access it.
Creating a survey
- Click Survey Manager in the Assessments area of the Control Panel.
- Click Add Survey.
- Enter a name, description and instructions and click Submit.
- Select a question type on the Survey Canvas and click Go.
- Create a question.
- Attach a file or URL.
- Enter answer choices and select the correct answer (if applicable).
- Repeat steps 4 through 7 until all questions have been added.
To make a survey available to students
- Open a course content area and select Survey from the drop-down menu on the right.
- Select the survey to add and click Submit.
- Click Modify Survey Options to select the properties, availability, feedback and presentation options for the survey. Note that you MUST make the test “Available” before closing this panel, or students won’t be able to access it.
