Assignments
Adding an Assignment will create a secure location for students to submit files for a course assignment. Instructors and teaching assistants use the Grade Center to view and download submitted work and to send confidential feedback to students.

Assignments can be added within Course Documents, Assignments, Course Information areas or any content area created by the instructor.

To create an Assignment, use the drop-down menu on the right to select Assignment.

FAQs:
Help! I posted an assignment and I can see it, but there’s no place for the students to upload files!
Create the assignment again, but this time, do NOT click on Item. Instead, use the drop-down box on the right next to the word Select to add an Assignment. Click Go after highlighting the word Assignment (see the picture above).
Why can’t I use the Digital Dropbox?
You can, but why? Assignments allow instructors and TAs to sort assignments by student and by assignment in the Grade Center, during and after the semester. The Digital Dropbox has only one main directory, so instructors have to search through all of the uploaded files. Additionally, using the assignment tool allows an instructor or TA to download all of the assignments in one ZIP (compressed data) file. The Dropbox has no such feature. See grading assignments for help.
